When you have one of the best dinners ever in the most unexpected place in the world you just want to shout about it. Well that’s what happened tonight, we were given the tip by the Executive Chef Christopher Smith at the Renaissance Uluwatu Bali and booked a kitchen bar table at Cuca. It exceeded all expectations and was an experience I will never forget. The restaurant is tucked away down a side street in Jimbaran, the staff were delightful, super efficient and attentive. I arrived earlier then my friend and sat in the dimly light but magical garden bar area, I was handed delicately scented natural mosquito spray just in case the pesky mozzies decided to feast on me first!!! Nothing is forgotten here. We then moved into the kitchen bar area and over looked the kitchen as it worked peacefully, methodically and seamlessly creating intricate dishes. Each dish was presented to us by the chef that had created it with a description and a warm smile and passionate ownership. The menu is made up of small sharing dishes, I love this style of eating, I only wish I had more time here to sample every dish on the menu. I’m honoured to have experienced this amazing restaurant and wish to thank everyone that contributed to one of the most delicious dinners I’ve ever eaten. 313077f4-cfad-4956-a99d-06e2589d510a
